MISSION:

Kelly has been in the financial planning and insurance industry for the past 18 years. Prior to her commercial property & casualty insurance career, she worked as a Financial Planner creating retirement plans and wealth management strategies for mid to large size companies with Merrill Lynch in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA. After her daughter was born, Kelly and her family moved back home to Bossier City, LA. to be close to family. In 2004, she was hired as a Claims Specialist, with an MGA, and grew to thoroughly enjoy the loss control aspect of her job responsibilities. She began to create avenues and solutions to help her agents and insured's find cost effective solutions in order to help control their cost of insurance. Because Kelly enjoyed the creative side and finding solutions, she began working as an Underwriting Assistant for the Transportation and Construction underwriting team. Having the opportunity to work directly under an Underwriter, specializing in Construction and Transportation, she gained extensive knowledge and grew to love the trucking and construction sectors of this industry. After several years of employment with MGA, Kelly accepted an offer to work on the retail agency side of commercial insurance and was hired to manage a comprehensive construction captive insurance program. She quickly grew this captive program by 67% within her first two years of being with agency. Inside the captive insurance program, her responsibilities included all submissions, analysis, marketing, negotiating terms and conditions, placement and servicing. Additionally, to assist clients with contract review/analysis and insurance provisions. Kelly mainly focuses on the Construction, Transportation and Energy sectors and continues to work on growing relationships and gaining market expertise. In June 2017, Kelly opened her own agency, Assurance Risk Management Group, LLC. She is very excited about the immediate growth she has been a part of this year and is specifically excited about the many options she is now able to give her clients. Kelly has built her reputation, in insurance, on the design of creative risk management programs to fit the structure of an organization and to reach the goals of the organization. By establishing Risk Management Programs for her clients, allows her the ability to negotiate the most favorable terms and conditions and to also uncover solutions to provide exceptional service. Her wide-ranging background has led to a strong understanding of both the brokerage and retail agency side of our industry. She has a wealth of knowledge in this industry and prides herself upon exceptional service. Kelly has the focus and experience it takes to consistently exceed expectations, win and retain business and forge long-term partnerships.

Kelly graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1997. She currently serves as Co-Chairperson for her local AESC, Association of Energy Services, chapter which currently serves over 175 members. She also serves on the insurance and new member committees for the national level of AESC, which currently serves over 900 members. Kelly was nominated and elected to serve as a Diplomat for the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and is currently a member of the Bossier and Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Kelly is currently studying to obtain her CIC professional designation and will have her CIC completed by 2018-year end.

Kelly is married to Ronnie Coker and they have four children, Peyton, Abigail, Hunter and Nate. Her main motivation comes from her family and believes in leading by example. One day she hopes to one day leave behind a lasting legacy built on faith, family, honesty and integrity.
